A 28-year-old Chicago woman is accused of setting up an August 6 armed robbery in the 5000 block of West Jackson Boulevard, tipping off two accomplices to the victims' location and then presenting herself as one of the victims. Prosecutors say she knew guns would be involved; one man was pistol-whipped and robbed of a wallet and phone, and a second was robbed of a small amount of cash. A judge ordered her detained. She faces armed robbery, aggravated robbery, and robbery counts, and a 17-year-old is charged separately in juvenile proceedings. The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
