Two 19-year-old men already on pretrial release over a Loop restaurant burglary this summer were arrested again in the early hours of August 10, after officers on patrol allegedly found them with suitcases outside a Wells Street cafe. Police say the suitcases held food and drinks tied to a Jimmy John's on West Madison that had just triggered a burglar alarm. Both now face burglary and attempted burglary counts, and a judge ordered them detained for violating pretrial release conditions. The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court.
